Best shawarma in in the area, hands down. I already left this place a 5 star review on Google, but the food was just as good as it was when I came here over a year ago which is nice to see.

Dropped by here on a long drive back from Alameda back to Mountain View. I was recommended the spicy chicken plate as their most popular dish and I had no hesitation in going for it, description had everything I love - chicken breast, grilled/roasted onions and peppers along with spicy and garlic sauce! What more do you need? I must say it was bomb! Everything went so well together. Chicken breast itself was tender and not too try, it had a perfect kick of spice (through the sauce) along with the onions and peppers (maybe slightly higher in oil but it added to the taste). I had it with the bulgar and loved that too. It was a change up from the rice that I usually have. I have had freekeh before but not bulgar. You will not need extra sauce because it's already pretty saucy. Garlic sauce on the side was also amazing (as in picture). Opted for the Lentil soup along with the dish (comes for free) and the warm soup on a cold day definitely helped! Was pretty soothing for me. Seems to be family owned and the service was extremely friendly. I will definitely stop by again whenever I'm around this area. Highly recommend!

Stopping in this last weekend there was a bit of confusion in regards to our order - no worries, but once we received our food the gyro sandwich just didn't hit. Something about the balance was slightly off. That being said, the included side of fries were delicious and the honey enjoyed his orange-flavored baklava. Additionally, the service was friendly and helpful and they had quite a bit of outside seating. All in all, a solid four stars.

All right my last review was over 2 years ago, and Shish Grill is STILL as consistently terrific as a restaurant can possibly be. There has not been even ONE day I went in which the food wasn't fantastic. I have returned a handful of times since that review, with a total of 20 friends over that period. Every single friend had huge praise for the dish they ate. Remarks include "This is so good I don't even have WORDS!" and "MmMMMMm this is amazing wow." Friends in the area come back to the restaurant without me, because why wait until your friend is free again when Shish Grill and its wonderful captain Nancy are ALWAYS there for you? One can't be more RELIABLE than them. Although the meat dishes such as the Maklouba, Spicy Chicken Plate, and others are show-stoppers, the menu is expansive with many awesome vegetarian options. For example the Wednesday special maghmour (Lebanese moussaka) is a delicious, thick stew featuring smoky eggplant and chickpeas along with mint, tomato, and garlic (comes with rice or bread). The sauces are yummy and the salads have awesome flavors, and the desserts are awesome too; my favorite would be the kanefeh (knafeh) (also confirmed by my Arab friend that it was legitimately great, unlike others she has had in the area). Service is always great; definitely ask any question you have before making your order so you know what you're getting. Don't be shy to ask for Chef Nancy because she is the SWEETEST person and will be more than happy to answer anything for you- she'll put a huge smile on your face. A reminder during cold weather- make sure to eat the food, especially the meat, while it's still hot. Do keep this in mind if you'll be sitting outside. The atmosphere is also enjoyable because Nancy Ajram and other Arab pop-stars are always playing in the speakers, and indoors is cool during hot weather while cozy during cold weather. Outdoor seating features umbrellas, tarps, and a fireplace. Now get going and enjoy your feast. Nancy and her food always make my day!

Shish Grill offers massive portions of homecooked Lebanese food and is attached to the adjacent Shish Market, offering a variety of Middle Eastern ingredients. The Shish Combo Plate came with grilled chicken, beef, and kafta kabobs, served with grilled onions/peppers, yellow rice, house salad, and a creamy garlic sauce. The Vegetarian Plate came with an assortments of mezzes including dolmas, falafels, baba ghanoush, and a thick and creamy hummus, perfect for eating with pita bread. Both of these plates were solid and showcased the best of Middle Eastern flavors! However, the even more memorable dishes were yet to come! For each day of the week, Shish Grill does a daily special, and on Fridays, they offer a massive, super tender Lamb Shank, served over rice cooked with ground lamb and ouza spice blend. But the standout dish for me was the Spicy Chicken, made of chicken breast cubes stir-fried with onions, bell peppers, and garlic in a delectable, creamy red hot sauce. The spicy sauce was addictively delicious and went perfectly with the chicken, veggies, and rice underneath--no wonder this is one of their most popular items!

Came here tonight after playing pickleball. Just searched for nearby food and this one popped up. 3 stars for the food, but 4 stars for service and ambiance. So I guess it bumps it up to 4 overall. We came around 7:30pm and they had decent amount of tables. The worker at the counter was very patient with us as we changed our mind on the order serval times. He knew we were sharing and gave us two plates and two sets of silverware, so that was nice. He was great! The bathroom was also super clean and smelled nice. Big mirror inside of it. The trash was full, but it was the end of the day, so no biggie. I was quite impressed with the bathroom. We decided to share the Monday & Tuesday Special. It was Mansaf. A lamb shank over rice with some sauce. The lamb was nice and tender. But the sauce and the flavor was a bit off for us. We both thought it was a bit too creamy and sour tasting for our liking. I would come back again if I was in the area and try something else.

Came here on a Monday night with my family so the place was not so busy, a number of people come and go picking up orders. We visited the market next to it and you can find Mediterranean snacks and stuff. All the food we ordered at the grill/restaurant were good. The staff were so nice. The place is convenient with good parking.

Love Shish Grill! It's a small place but has outdoor dining. But we love getting take-out! It comes with meat, salad, rice pilaf , roasted veggies and sauce! Great portion!! They also have a market next to the restaurant! Highly recommend this place.

Stumbled on Shish Grill after our golf. Thought it was a little on the pricey side since our group isn't into Mediterranean food. Turned out pretty good. We shared a beef & lamb Shawarma that came with fries. Food was very good lots of meat and filling in crispy wrap. The French fries were fried crispy and hot. Service was excellent! The outdoor dining was nice too. I recommend you give it a try.
